2017 Halloween
Uhmm, look at the way these Martiricos students enjoyed this jummy home made spooky Halloween food
Antonio and Rodri injected juicy sweet blood into their eye cheese cakes
Nico's pumpking cake hid gummy fingers crawling into 2º ESO A class
Carmen and Delia baked this huge eye that stared all of us for a very short time until it was eaten up
Jose won the most Halloween like award with his smiling cake
Miguel and Julio brought some mysterious fruit to the class
Angel and Mateo froze us all with their chocolate cake
But Halloween is not only a matter of 2ºESO students... look at these 1º Bachillerato ones...
There were gummy spiders and cookies
really elaborated chocolate cakes with skeletons and pumpkins on top
Creepy sweet spider eggs
chocolate pumpkins...
Blood elixir (Claudia's recipe improved by Joaquín)
and Donald Trump little heads
We are never too old to enjoy Halloween food at Martiricos
To make it different, there were even more surprises this Halloween...
Our FPB students prepared a horror show for their 1º ESO partners, and it turned out to be... terrific!
HAPPY 2017 HALLOWEEN!

111 Exercises to Practice Thinking.

Saint Patrick's Day
17th March is St Patrick's
Day, Irish national Day. We learnt about it in different classes and
we also decided to wear green on Friday as a celebration. Students
and teachers had a lot of fun in the photocall that María del Mar
prepared with her students. The leprechaun and the shamrocks were
wonderful!
3º ESO students prepared some slide
shows in technology class.
2º and 3º ESO students were preparing
quizzes for their classmates. How much do you know about this
festival? Try the quiz (these are our students' best questions).

Picasso Museum
Some students enjoyed a visit to Museo Picasso Málaga yesterday. First, our excellent guide, Cristina, asked them some questions about three works in the current exhibition, 33 Picassos.
After that, we attended a workshop on collage and print.
Look at the results! We have great artists!

Fall of the Roman Empire
We had a lot of fun today. Some 2º, 3º and 4º ESO students went to Auditorio Edgar Neville to watch, or better said participate in the play Fall of the Roman Empire. Actors were hilarious and students loved to watch them and their classmates on stage. Congratulations to Interacting for having done such a great job.

The Christmas truce of 1914
On january 30, we celebrate the School-day of non violence and peace.
More than a hundred years ago, Europe was inmerse in one of the most devastating conflicts of human history: the First World War. Thousands and thousands of European soldiers died in the trenches, far away from home.
In Christmas of 1914, a small miracle happened: French, German and British soldiers stopped the war, exchanged food and souvenirs and sung carols. There was even a football game between soldiers. Unfortunately, after Christmas the nonsense of war continued.

PLOUGH MONDAY
Did you know about Plough Monday? Our 2º ESO B and 3º ESO students have been investigating about this celebration.
The first Monday after Twelfth Night (6th January) is Plough Monday. It was originally the day when the agricultural work restarted after the Christmas holidays.
Ramsey has very popular celebrations. See last year's one!
Molly dance is typical on that day.
In some towns and villages, there are straw bears too, such as the one in Wittlesey.
If you want to know a bit more, check these websites:
